Last 15th October took place the ceremony of acquisition of majority stake of CENOR by TPF, in the presence of TPF, CENOR and TPF PLANEGE presidents, Thomas Spitaels, Pedro Tavares and Jorge Nandin de Carvalho, respectively.
The Belgian multinational TPF is a group that operates in more than 50 countries and is in Portugal since 2001, after the acquisition of PLANEGE.
In our country, TPF has installed its competence center for water management; one of the four centers that has in the entire world. Globally, the group has an annual turnover of 240 million euros and 4250 collaborators.
This is the first step in a process of merger between Cenor Consultores and TPF PLANEGE, which will create the major Portuguese company in engineering consultancy – TPF PLANEGE CENOR – which should be completed in 2017.
TPF PLANEGE CENOR will have about 400 collaborators and an annual turnover of around 45 million euros. It is expected that, in short term, the consolidated turnover increases 15 %.
One of the main goals of this operation is to intensify the focus on internationalization. Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Macau, Timor, Algeria, Turkey, UAE, Poland, Romania and Cameroon are some of the markets where the companies have already business and intend to expand their activities.
