DESCRIPTION

Main works:

  • The body of the dam embankment, in a zoned section with a volume of 2.300.000m3, maximum height above the foundation of 76m, and crest development in the order of 415m;
  • Flooding discharge in a channel with an extension of 160m scaled for 1.513m3/s, frontal weir equipped with 3 automatic sluice gates and ending in a ski jump;
  • Grouting gallery inserted into the foundation of the body of the dam, with a planned extension of 330m;
  • 430m temporary bypass tunnel;
  • Water outlet into three levels with weirs at levels (58), (81) and (92). Control of the upstream water intake by three wheel-mounted sluice gates associated with fine grids and, downstream, by hollow jet valve;
  • Electrical installations, automation and assembly of hydro-mechanical equipment;

Construction of access roads and road rallies, bridges over the Odelouca streams, safety works on the EN264 national motorway, the railway line and the railway bridge.
