DESCRIPTION

Improvement of European Route 101 between São Vicente and Porto Moniz over a total extension of 23km.
The project encompassed the implementation of entry / exit connections, supporting walls, the widening of the old road and several associated structures, with the work taking place in four phases.
Along the section, the various monitoring devices, lighting systems, signalling equipment (vertical, horizontal and traffic lights), ventilation and safety facilities in tunnels were installed.

Technical Data:

  • Lane-type cross-section with a useable cross-section of 9m, including kerbs;
  • 1 tunnels with a total length of 9.644m, and their emergency galleries;
  • 3 bridges in reinforced and pre-stressed concrete, executed with falsework;
  • 1 pedestrian overpass in precast reinforced concrete.
