DESCRIPTION

WWTP for 28.000 inhabitants, treats the waste-water from the interception subsystem at the mouth of the Lizandro river and is supplied by the Carvoeira pumping station.
The treated waste water is received by the Lizandro River.
Biological treatment system for activated sludge, operated under a prolonged-ventilation system, with four biological continuous flow SBR reactors (ICEAS Intermittent Cycle Extended Aeration-System).

The installation includes the following buildings and bodies:

  • Control building;
  • Building for preliminary treatment and sludge treatment;
  • Compressor building;
  • Biological Reactors (S.B.R.);
  • Gravity Thickener;
  • Microsieving;
  • Biofiltering.

 

The services provided included the control of all construction work, electrical installations, electromechanical equipment assembly, automation and security.
