DESCRIPTION

Cenor, in partnership with PC&A, is currently developing the design project of major bridges and viaducts in a new railway line, with a total length of 175km, between Thénia and Bordj Bou Arréridj. At this stage, the construction of a double railway track is predicted and it shall carry mixed traffic, this is both passenger and freight traffic, at design speeds of 160km/h and 100km/h, respectively. Cenor and PC&A are developing the preliminary design of 18 viaducts, from which the OA16 stands out for its features a total length of 2325km. In order to minimize the number of rail expansion joints, the general solution for the deck consists of isotactic spans of precast beams in reinforced prestressed concrete.
