The bridge over the Tagus River, with a length of 1km and spans of 120m, consisting of two solutions:

  • A single-cell box girder of precast segments deck built by the cantilever method with a launching girder;
  • A composite deck with a concrete slab and a steel box girder built by incremental launching technique.

The South Viaduct, with a length of 9,5km, comprising a similar solution to the one described for the North Viaduct and an alternative solution with 35/40m spans in precast U-shaped beams and a concrete top slab.
