DESCRIPTION

2 x 2 lane motorway section, with a length of 3,9km.

Technical Data:

  • Vigário Bridge – two separate decks in reinforced and pre-stressed concrete. Max. span of 140m and useable cross-section of 10,65m in single-cell box girder of variable height;
  • Alforra Bridge – 2 decks in reinforced and pre-stressed concrete with 4 sections with a span of 110m each;
  • Caldeira Bridge – 2 separate decks in reinforced and pre-stressed concrete in 5 and 4 sections, with an extension of 165m and 130m, respectively;
  • Quinta do Leme viaduct – double decks in reinforced and pre-stressed concrete in 4 sections, with an extension of 130 m each;
  • Overpass at 1.900km – 1 reinforced and pre-stressed concrete deck of 4 sections, with an extension of 90m;
  • Double tunnel – 650m of extension per lane, useable cross-section of 9m and the corresponding emergency galleries;
  • Cabo Girão tunnel with an extension of 1,2m, per lane, useable cross-section of 9m and the corresponding emergency galleries.

 

The services provided included the supervision of the execution of all construction works, namely:

  • Excavation of the tunnel;
  • Reinforced concrete structures;
  • Drainage networks;
  • Ventilation and smoke extraction systems;
  • Security facilities;
  • Electrical installations.
