DESCRIPTION

The contract consisted on the construction of a 4 lane highway with a total length of 1.800m, including the construction of several bridgeworks.

Parameters /Technical Data:

  • Socorridos’ s Bridge – a reinforced and pre-stressed concrete deck, with 4 spans, in a total length of 333m, suspended on two pre-stressed concrete vertical elements; the maximum span is 120m and the deck cross-section is 21 m wide; the slab design is a box type rectangular concrete beam, built using a structural hydraulic advance system; the 120m pillars were built using sliding formwork;
  • Til´s Bridge – 2 cast-in-place reinforced and pre-stressed concrete decks, with 6 spans, in a total length of 231m; the maximum span is 45m and the deck’s cross-section is 10,65m wide; the slab design is a box type rectangular beam, built using traditional metalic formwork supported on a metal scaffolding structure on the abutment area and using a structural hydraulic advance system on the suspended area;
  • Vargem´s Bridge – a cast-in-place reinforced and pre-stressed concrete deck slab with 4 spans, in a total length of 126m; the maximum span is 45m and the deck’s cross-section is 21m wide; it was built using a structural hydraulic advance system;
  • 4 pedestrian overpassings and 1 underpassing in cast-in-place reinforced and pre-stressed concrete beam-slab structure, built using traditional metalic formwork supported on a metal.
